Ingredients:
1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
1 tablespoon sugar or sweetener of choice
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or decaf coffee
Whipped cream and extra pumpkin pie spice for topping (optional)
Instructions:
In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together milk, pumpkin puree, sugar, and pumpkin pie spice until the mixture starts to steam. Do not let it boil.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Use a hand frother to whisk vigorously or blend the mixture until frothy.
Pour the pumpkin milk mixture into a mug and add the coffee.
Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of pumpkin pie spice, if desired. Enjoy warm.
