đ Chapter 7: Neurospicy & Not Broken
(ADHD, Autism, and Emotional Burnout Survival Tips) Youâre not lazy â youâre overwhelmed.
Rant
Iâve been called too much more times than I can count â too sensitive, too intense, too chaotic. I was told I needed to âget my shit together,â âmake better choices,â âstop being a fuck-up.â And for years, I believed them.
What I didnât know was that I was masking every damn day just to survive.
Turns out, Iâm not broken â Iâm neurodivergent. Iâm AuDHD, married to someone with ADHD, raising a house full of beautifully neurospicy humans. And you know what? Weâre not the problem.
The world wasnât built for brains like ours â so no wonder it feels like weâre constantly swimming upstream in a river of noise, expectations, and overstimulation.
This chapter isnât about fixing yourself. Itâs about understanding yourself â and scrubbing off all the shame thatâs been slapped on you for not doing life âthe normal way.â Spoiler: normal is a myth, and you get to live outside of it.
Letâs Talk
Who even are you when youâre not performing, pleasing, or playing small to stay safe? Identity loss is sneakyâespecially when trauma, caregiving, neurodivergence, or survival mode take over. You didnât disappearâyou were buried. This chapter is about peeling back the masks and remembering the fire underneath. Itâs not too late to become who you actually are.
