Rant

I’ve been called too much more times than I can count — too sensitive, too intense, too chaotic. I was told I needed to “get my shit together,” “make better choices,” “stop being a fuck-up.” And for years, I believed them.

What I didn’t know was that I was masking every damn day just to survive.

Turns out, I’m not broken — I’m neurodivergent. I’m AuDHD, married to someone with ADHD, raising a house full of beautifully neurospicy humans. And you know what? We’re not the problem.

The world wasn’t built for brains like ours — so no wonder it feels like we’re constantly swimming upstream in a river of noise, expectations, and overstimulation.

This chapter isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about understanding yourself — and scrubbing off all the shame that’s been slapped on you for not doing life “the normal way.” Spoiler: normal is a myth, and you get to live outside of it.

Let’s Talk

Who even are you when you’re not performing, pleasing, or playing small to stay safe? Identity loss is sneaky—especially when trauma, caregiving, neurodivergence, or survival mode take over. You didn’t disappear—you were buried. This chapter is about peeling back the masks and remembering the fire underneath. It’s not too late to become who you actually are.
