Chocolate-Covered Strawberries
Chocolate-covered strawberries make the ideal sweet treat for your Sweet
Ingredients:
- 1 pound (about 450g) fresh strawberries, washed and dried thoroughly
- 8 ounces (about 225g) semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, chopped
- Optional: White chocolate or milk chocolate for drizzling (optional)
- Optional toppings: chopped nuts, shredded coconut, sprinkles, etc.
Instructions:
1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or wax paper.
2. Place the chopped chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate.
3. Holding a strawberry by the stem, dip it into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat it evenly. Allow any excess chocolate to drip off.
4. Place the chocolate-covered strawberry onto the prepared baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining strawberries.
5. If desired, drizzle melted white chocolate or milk chocolate over the chocolate-covered strawberries for decoration.
6. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle optional toppings like chopped nuts, shredded coconut, or sprinkles over the strawberries.
7. Once all the strawberries are coated and decorated, place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until the chocolate is set.
8. Once the chocolate has hardened, transfer the chocolate-covered strawberries to a serving plate or store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
9. Enjoy your homemade chocolate-covered strawberries as a delicious treat or dessert!
These chocolate-covered strawberries are perfect for special occasions, parties, or simply as a sweet indulgence for yourself or loved ones. Enjoy!
