Why I'm Over the "Poor Me" Parade
Let’s get real — if I have to hear one more "oh poor me" sob story disguised as a life update, I might just spontaneously combust. Social media has officially rotted everyone's brains to the point where scrolling is their only form of human interaction. And now? It’s leaking into the real world like a bad plumbing job.
Guess what? It’s exhausting, it’s redundant, and frankly — I don’t give a flying flip.
Spoiler alert: You are not the only one with problems.
Now before you clutch your pearls — I am NOT saying don’t talk about your issues or seek real help. Therapy? Heck yes. A good vent to a trusted friend? Absolutely. What I am saying is that if you constantly live in a bubble of self-pity and victimhood, don’t be surprised when all you attract is more of that heavy, suffocating energy.
If your life's soundtrack is just a loop of sad violins, you're gonna miss the damn concert.
Victim Mentality is the Fast Track to Misery
The "oh poor me" mantra? Makes me want to puke. There are people out there facing truly gut-wrenching challenges, yet they still find a way to smile, laugh, and live.
Open your freaking eyes.
Look around.
Take your face out of your phone for a hot minute.
See that old couple, slowly making their way through the grocery store, chuckling about whether they need one or two loaves of bread? They’ve been through wars — literal and metaphorical — and yet here they are, sharing a sweet moment.
See that kid at the park cracking jokes to make his mom laugh until she snorts?
See those friends in the coffee shop laughing so hard they might need a new mascara situation?
That is life.
That is joy.
That is what happens when you choose to seek the good, even when life has handed you a whole wheelbarrow of crap.

Newsflash: You Control Your Path
You don’t get to control every hardship that comes your way. But you sure as hell get to control how you show up through it.
