I spent years searching for a natural deodorant that actually worked and didn’t cost a small fortune. Let’s be real—paying $25 just to smell fresh every day seems ridiculous! While there are some amazing natural brands out there, I wanted something more affordable that would last longer. That’s when I decided to experiment with making my own powdered deodorant, and let me tell you—I struck gold! This recipe is simple, effective, and incredibly cost-efficient. A little goes a long way, and it’s safe enough to use from head to toe. With daily use, my first batch lasted nearly six months, and for just $12 worth of ingredients, I’ll have deodorant to last me for years. Now that’s what I call a win!
Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup arrowroot powder (absorbs moisture)
• 1/4 cup baking soda (neutralizes odor; reduce if you have sensitive skin)
• 1/4 cup cornstarch or additional arrowroot powder (optional, for added absorbency)
• 10–15 drops essential oil (optional, for fragrance; try lavender, tea tree, or peppermint for their antibacterial properties)
• 1–2 tbsp bentonite clay (optional, for detoxifying properties)
