Servings: 4
Prep Time: 10 min
Cook Time: 25–30 min
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
1/3 cup pure maple syrup
1/4 cup bourbon (or bourbon-flavored whiskey alternative if you want to skip alcohol)
2 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a little kick)
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup, bourbon, Dijon, garlic, and red pepper flakes.
Pour the mixture over the chicken and transfer skillet to the oven. Bake 15–20 minutes, or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Spoon the sauce over the chicken and let it rest 5 minutes before serving.
