There's More to a Relationship Than Money: Breaking Free from the Provider Myth (And the 1950s)

Ah, the 1950s: a simpler time when men worked, women stayed home, and everyone really believed you could just slap a bowtie on a problem and call it “fixed.” The man was the provider—heading off to work with a briefcase in hand while the wife stayed home, maintained the house, baked pies, and definitely didn’t complain about it. Oh, and let’s not forget about the wife, who may start feeling like her only role is “dependent.” There’s a reason women didn't sign up for these roles, folks. We were out here plotting our career paths and scheduling self-care while listening to power ballads, not waiting for someone to unlock the door with a paycheck.
