The Great American Food Fight: Why Ditching Chemicals Has Everyone Losing Their Minds
Less Toxic Junk, More Real Food—Why Is That So Controversial?
Why Are We Fighting Over Making America Healthy Again?
The Great Food Dye Meltdown
Seriously, folks. Why are people foaming at the mouth over the removal of food dyes and toxic sludge (I mean, "additives")? Why are they stampeding to social media, pitchforks in hand, calling names and throwing tantrums like a toddler who just got told "no more fruit snacks"? Shouldn’t we all agree that not poisoning ourselves is, oh I don’t know, a good idea? Regardless of political, religious, or economic backgrounds, one thing we should all unite over is making America healthy again. These proposed changes aren’t just for those who can afford high-end grocery stores where the cashier judges you for not bringing reusable bags. They actually benefit those with lower incomes and in food deserts. Why wouldn’t we want that? Why wouldn’t we want junk food kicked off SNAP benefits so our tax dollars stop funding diabetes? (Looking at you, subsidized candy bars.) Why wouldn’t we want our money going toward whole, real foods that actually nourish people instead of slow-killing them?
