If youâve been following me for a while, you may have noticed a shift. Thereâs been more scripture sprinkled throughout my writings lately. I felt a huge pull to stop hiding it and start sharing openly.
Iâve been a woman of faith my entire life. I was raised Catholic, spent time in various Christian circles, and now practice my faith and spirituality with Yeshua (the Son/Jesus). Iâm not tied to a specific religion and donât condemn religion either â it can be a doorway to awakening and relationship.
If those names confuse you, itâs because theyâre their original names. Research them yourself in ancient scrolls and scripture â translations changed them. If you donât have a relationship with them, I encourage you to grab the Word and start learning for yourself.
My Gifts Are My Tithe
Iâve been blessed with specific gifts: gardening, creating abundance, empathy, compassion, patience, and wisdom. All of these are how I tithe. Tithing isnât just money; itâs giving a portion of your resources. My resources are meant to be shared so others can learn and be fruitful too.
Thatâs why I share my recipes, wisdom, failures, and successes.
Lessons From the Fire
Iâve had years in the belly of the beast. Years of eating disorders, self-hatred, alcoholism, and depression. During those times, was I nurturing my relationship with Yeshua? Absolutely not. I tried to fix it myself, navigate it myself, or ignore it â and I failed at every step.
Everything changed the moment I stepped away from the wheel and let him guide me.
With the constant chaos of social media and news today, itâs easy to feel scared and uncertain. Iâve been there â stuck in my own thoughts, constantly worried, forgetting to be in the now. Iâve even prayed, âWhy me? Why this?â
Now I believe part of my purpose is to share my experiences to help others avoid the same mistakes.
Refined Like Silver
I saw a TikTok recently that stopped me in my tracks (I canât take credit for it, but wow did it hit me hard):
A silversmith refines silver by putting it in intense heat. The impurities rise to the surface, and the smith gently skims them off again and again. They never walk away because the silver could be ruined if overheated. And they know itâs finally pure when they can see their own reflection shining back at them.
Malachi 3:3 says, âHe will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver.â
How powerful is that? We arenât abandoned in the fire. Heâs right there, watching, refining, and waiting until His image is reflected in us.
Why This Matters Now
When Malachi says God is like a refiner of silver, itâs not a picture of a harsh judge swinging a hammer; itâs a careful artisan watching the heat, knowing exactly how much each piece can take. Refining is always purposeful.
In our lives today, that looks like:
Health scares or setbacks that force us to slow down, reevaluate, and nourish our bodies.
Job loss or financial stress that teaches us to lean on Godâs provision and develop new skills.
Broken relationships that reveal where we need forgiveness, boundaries, or compassion.
Personal failures or addictions that grow humility, honesty, and empathy for others.
Realignment, Not Punishment
Stop thinking every hard season is God (or the universe) punishing you. That mindset keeps you stuck. Instead, ask yourself: whatâs actually out of balance inside me? Where do I need nurturing, truth, and love to get back to center? Your body, mind, and spirit are always sending you messages. Listen. Clear the noise. Expel the junk thoughts. Breathe. Realign your energy so youâre not walking around like a frazzled power line about to snap.
The Gnostic texts echo this call to look inward:
Gospel of Mary (8:10â11): âThe Savior answered, âAll natures, all formations, all creatures exist in and with each other, and they will be resolved again into their own roots. For the nature of matter is resolved into the roots of its own nature alone.ââ
Gospel of Thomas (Saying 70): âIf you bring forth what is within you, what you bring forth will save you. If you do not bring forth what is within you, what you do not bring forth will destroy you.â
Translation? Everything youâre searching for is already in you. When you tend to the parts that are hurt or out of alignment, you come back to your ârootsâ and your own inherent wholeness. Thatâs the work that saves you â not waiting for some outside force to do it for you.
Modern Takeaway
When youâre in the middle of a hard season, instead of thinking âGod is mad at me,â ask:
What might He be refining in me?
What character, skills, or empathy is He developing that I couldnât get any other way?
That shift turns trials from feeling like a curse into seeing them as a classroom. Itâs guidance and growth, not wrath.
I know this first-hand. After years of hurting my body with eating disorders, I was forced to learn to properly care for myself, nourish my body in a healthy way, and love it for all itâs done. That journey gave me the wisdom to share those failures and how I turned them into success.
Stepping Into True Spirituality
When you start to look within and restore the balance to your energy, the true meaning of spirituality makes sense â and once it does, youâll want to share it. Thatâs been my purpose even when I was unaware.
We were literally given everything we needed, but greed corrupted the system. When you strip that system away, you realize none of it ever really mattered. Yet here we are, navigating it until itâs our time.
So how do we nurture our consciousness while living in it? Start with truth. Read the Ethiopian Bible and the Nag Hammadi Scriptures. They fill in so much information that was withheld from us by King James. (If youâre questioning that, research King James and youâll see why the KJV is the way it is.)
Come Along for the Journey
Iâll continue sharing my wisdom with all the sass and snark â just with a bit more divine sprinkled in. I hope you stick around for the magic, learn something, share something, and grow into your best self.
Letâs start our journeys to spiritual enlightenment through Yeshuaâs teachings!
If this post gave you that aha! moment or even just made you sit up a little straighter, donât keep it to yourself.
