Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 lb Italian sausage (mild or hot, your choice)
1 (15 oz) can dark red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz) can tri-color beans, drained and rinsed
1 (15 oz) can chili beans (in chili sauce, undrained)
1 (14.5 oz) can fire-roasted tomatoes
1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
1 packet Kinderās Woodfired Chili Seasoning
Optional toppings: shredded cheddar, sour cream, diced onion, jalapeƱos, fresh cilantro
Instructions
Brown the meat
In a large heavy pot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
Build the base
Stir in the can of tomato paste and cook for 2ā3 minutes to deepen the flavor.
Add beans & tomatoes
Add the kidney beans, tri-color beans, chili beans, and fire-roasted tomatoes. Stir to combine.
