Serving Up Sass, Snacks, and Slightly Unhinged Wisdom
Hey there,
I’m absolutely LOVING this shift! Seriously, it feels like I’ve found my groove, and I’m just here for it. Welcome to your one-stop shop, where you get to pick and choose between my posts, all fueled by a solid mix of creativity, caffeine, and—let’s be real—a little bit of chaos.
Gone are the days of me hoarding ideas like a dragon clutching treasure (trust me, I had a whole vault going). Instead, you get all the goods right here, no fluff, just the stuff that’ll make you laugh, think, and maybe even question my sanity. But hey, that’s part of the charm, right?
If you stumbled upon this and haven’t smashed that subscribe button yet, what are you waiting for? It’s basically a ticket to weekly doses of chaos and creativity—trust me, you don’t want to miss out.
So grab your coffee (or wine, no judgment) and dive into this chaos-filled goodness. You might just find a recipe that will make you feel like a gourmet chef, or a life update that’ll have you nodding in solidarity like, “Yep, been there.”
Enjoy the ride.
This Week’s Recipe:
While cleaning out my grandparents' house after my grandmother passed, I found an old jar of drawing salve. My grandfather needed help clearing out many items he no longer needed as he prepared for in-home care in his later years. The original drawing salve had very simple ingredients, including activated charcoal, which sparked my curiosity. I went to the kitchen and started testing out some concoctions, and let me tell you, this salve is amazing!

What’s New With Me:
The latest from my world—Okay, so my son is about to take a school trip to NYC, and I’m over here trying to balance excitement with full-on panic. Like, I’m thrilled for him and all, but also, I’m mentally preparing to just drown in my own anxiety for the next month and a half. You bet your bottom dollar I’m going to be drilling it into him, like a broken record: "STAY WITH THE GROUP." Not that he’ll be listening, but hey, a mom can dream.
And you know what else I’m doing? I’m going to make the packing list because let’s be honest, if I leave it up to him, he’ll forget everything except for his phone charger and one sock. And, of course, I’ll be sitting right next to him while he packs, probably rearranging his suitcase for the 10th time because apparently, he doesn’t understand the concept of "packing efficiently."
Now, the big question: do I get one of those secret trackers to put in his shoe or on his body so I can casually keep tabs on his every move? Because, you know, that's not creepy at all, right? It's like I’m just being a responsible parent. But, honestly, I’m torn. Is that too much? Or just enough? A little too "Big Brother," or just some good old-fashioned mom paranoia? Decisions, decisions...
