A meatloaf recipe featuring Danno's Seasoning
Danno's Seasoning is a popular seasoning blend that adds a unique flavor to dishes.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs (680g) ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 bell pepper, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup (120ml) sugar free ketchup
- 1/4 cup (60ml) Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup (60ml) milk
- 1/4 cup (60ml) Danno's Seasoning (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup (100g) breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
- For glaze:
- 1/4 cup (60ml) sugar free ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar (optional)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, minced garlic, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, milk, Danno's Seasoning, breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
3. Transfer the meatloaf mixture to the prepared loaf pan, shaping it into a loaf shape.
4. In a small bowl, mix together the ingredients for the glaze: ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard. Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
5. Bake the meatloaf in the preheated oven for 60-75 minutes, or until cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C). If the glaze starts to brown too quickly, you can tent the meatloaf with aluminum foil.
6. Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
7. Slice the meatloaf and serve hot, optionally garnished with chopped parsley or additional Danno's Seasoning for extra flavor.
